Come out and see us tonight for bingo! Your support each week allows us to fund our operations and our mission. Recent developments such as our new asphalt, our new apparatus bays, living quarters renovations and more. All of these are funded by your weekly support at bingo.

Today, new asphalt was poured for our parking lot in front of our living quarters. This is a tremendous improvement to both the appearance and functionality of our station. Not only does it give the station a cleaner look, but it will also greatly reduce the amount of gravel dust tracked into the building, helping provide a cleaner living space for our members. This project was funded entirely through money raised by our volunteers, costing taxpayers absolutely nothing.

We would like to thank Tate’s Creek Paving for their excellent work on this project!

White Hall Volunteer Fire Department would like to reassure our community that we remain fully operational, self-sufficient, and committed to serving northern Madison County and surrounding areas.

While Madison County Fire Department is constructing a new station at Exit 97, this does not impact the operation or future of WHVFD. Our department has no involvement in those plans and remains focused solely on providing the highest level of fire protection possible to our community.

Our current station was constructed entirely through funds raised by our volunteers and supporters at no cost to Madison County taxpayers. Despite receiving minimal local government assistance, our members continue to dedicate countless hours to training and service.

To ensure operational readiness and efficiency we have several training requirements to exceed standards. All recruits must pass hands-on skills testing, and all members complete quarterly performance requirements to maintain operational readiness. This is in addition to routine trainings.

Whether paid or volunteer, the expectation when someone calls 911 is professionalism, preparedness, and dependable service. That responsibility is something we take seriously every day.

WHVFD remains committed to exceeding standards, supporting our community, and continuing to work cooperatively with our neighboring agencies in the best interest of those we serve.

Over the past month, our firefighters have been intensively training in RIT (Rapid Intervention Team), also known as RIC (Rapid Intervention Crew). RIT is deployed during a MAYDAY in structural firefighting operations when a firefighter becomes lost, trapped, or downed, with the mission of locating, assisting, and removing them from danger.

These are some of the most challenging and critical skills we perform, requiring precision, confidence, and constant practice to ensure proficiency when lives are on the line.

Throughout this training, members have practiced essential techniques including mask swaps, firefighter drags, RIT pack connections, and other rescue operations. Training progressed from basic evolutions under normal conditions with no obstacles to advanced, full-scale scenarios in little to no visibility—realistically simulating the extreme conditions firefighters face during actual emergencies.
