Happy Fourth of July from all of us at LifeEvac! 🇺🇸

Today, we celebrate the freedoms we cherish and honor those who have served and continue to serve our country. We hope you enjoy a fun, safe, and memorable holiday with family and friends.

As you celebrate, remember a few simple safety tips:
Leave fireworks to the professionals whenever possible.🎇
Stay hydrated and take breaks from the heat.💧
Always wear a life jacket when enjoying time on the water.🛥
Never drive impaired—plan for a safe ride home. 🚗
Keep pets indoors and comfortable, as loud noises can be stressful.🐾

Our crews remain ready to answer the call 24/7, including holidays, because emergencies don't take a day off.

🌡️ Extreme Heat Safety Reminder ☀️

With temperatures expected to climb above 100°F today and throughout the weekend, it's important to take steps to protect yourself and those around you.

💧 Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water—even if you don't feel thirsty.
🧢 Limit time outdoors during the hottest part of the day (10 AM–4 PM) and seek shade or air conditioning when possible.
👕 Wear lightweight, light-colored clothing and sunscreen when outside.
🐾 Keep pets indoors whenever possible, provide plenty of fresh water, and never leave them in a parked vehicle.
👵 Check on elderly family members, neighbors, and anyone who may be more vulnerable to extreme heat.
🚗 Never leave children, older adults, or pets unattended in a vehicle—even for a few minutes.

Know the warning signs of heat-related illness, including dizziness, confusion, nausea, excessive sweating, or hot, dry skin. If someone is experiencing signs of heat stroke, call 911 immediately.🚑

A little preparation can go a long way in helping everyone stay safe during extreme heat.

Stay cool. Stay hydrated. Stay safe.

What an incredible visit with the Rescue Camp Middlesex County Volunteer Rescue Squad! We had a great time talking with the campers, squad members, members of the Middlesex Volunteer Fire Department, members of the Coast Guard, and the Police Department!
