Applications for Crew Members interested in serving in the Virginia State Parks Youth Conservation Corps close THIS FRIDAY, March 13, 2026!

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to live and work in a Virginia State Park while gaining invaluable work experience and creating new friendships. Upon successful completion of the program, each crew member will receive a $750 payout.

Applications are considered complete once the youth and two references submit their respective sections. Applications without references submitted by the March 13 due date will not be considered.

Crew Leader applications are open until THIS FRIDAY, February 13, 2026! As a Crew Leader, you’ll spend six weeks living and working in state parks across the Commonwealth.

This dynamic role is incredibly rewarding and requires wearing many hats—worksite supervisor, environmental educator, and house manager, to name a few.

Crew Leaders receive a payout of $6,500 for their service, and those selected as Head Crew Members will receive $7,500.

Community + Stewardship = Youth Conservation Corps ⛏️

Applications are now OPEN for a unique summer employment opportunity for teens (ages 14-17) and young adults (18+). In this program, young folks will work, earn, and learn together by doing work projects which further the development and conservation of Virginia State Parks.

Teenage Crew Members will serve for two weeks. Upon successful completion of the program, youth will be awarded a $750 stipend. 💰

Adult Crew Leaders will serve for approximately 6 weeks. Crew Leaders will receive a stipend of $6,500 for their service, and those selected for Head Crew Leader positions will receive a stipend of $7,500. 🤑
