617th Ravens Trials and Tribulations of the 617th Military Police Company, The Premier Law Enforcement Agency of the Kentucky National Guard

Dedicated to the many brothers and sisters, past and present, that have graced our doors, fought with us side by side, and conquered many battles. To the many family members that have stood with us shedding tears in our times of need, times of joy, times of sorrow and times of happiness.

Ravens,

While you gather with family and friends, we want you to know how grateful we are for you. Your dedication, hard work, and sacrifice does not go unnoticed. We appreciate everything you do and the strength you show.

Holidays can be good or bad for families, that dynamic is fluid. During these times don't make bad decisions because of a temporary problem.

Be responsible, make sound decisions and call a friend if you need help. Stay safe, and have a wonderful Thanksgiving and holiday season.

🚨 BIG CHANGES COMING TO BRS CONTINUATION PAY 🚨

Effective January 2026, major updates are hitting the Blended Retirement System (BRS) Continuation Pay policy — and it could mean a $7,000–$15,000 difference for many National Guardsmen.

🔹 M-Day Guardsmen: Continuation Pay drops from 2.5x to 0.5x monthly basic pay
🔹 AGR Guardsmen: No change – stays at 2.5x
🔹 New eligibility window: 7–12 years (shortening to 7–10 in FY27)
🔹 Mobilized Guardsmen may still qualify for 2.5x if they served 270+ days involuntarily in a 2-year period

📉 Lower payouts could impact mid-career retention.
📲 Talk to your Career Counselor or HR rep before the changes hit!
