Bond Refinancing Saves Richmond $1.47 Million

During the July 13th, 2021 council meeting, the Richmond City Council approved refinancing of the 2013 Revenue Bonds that contributed $1.176M of savings to the City of Richmond’s Wastewater Fund over the remaining 21 years. Prior council action in May 2021 approved the refinancing of 2013 Certificates of Participation, which will capture $294,000 of taxpayer savings in the Municipal Complex Fund. As a result, Richmond will lower its interest costs by over $1.47 million.

The refunding comes on the heels of a financial rating review wherein Standard & Poor’s affirmed the City’s GO (General Obligation) bond rating at AA- and the COPs rating at A+. S&P cited strong management with good financial policies and practices, strong budgetary performance, and very strong liquidity.

My grandfather Richard "Bud" Stanton has been missing since 11am today. He drives a white Chevy pickup, 2 door, extended cab, short bed, toolbox in the back. He is 85 years old and potentially very confused with weaponry in his possession. He was last known to have left his home in Richmond mo with claims to be headed to Iowa on hwy 13. PLEASE keep your eye out for him as he is very elderly and should not be driving or out in this cold. Any info should be turned in to the POLICE IMMEDIATELY!!!!

So idk if anyone els has experienced this but I believe people in the water department of Richmond mo are abusing there power. I call multiple times to let them know I didn’t get paid till the 25th but no one answered so I left them a message with my name and number and asked if they would give me till then. After they shut me off on the 23rd I called and and talked to someone but she admitted to getting my message but wouldn’t call me back when her voice mail tells you she will and they never answer the phone. I have kids in my house a 3,9,13 year old. So now in order to get my water on I have to pay an extra $100 plus my bill. I didn’t get my bill till the 16th and that’s 5 days till it’s due. I only get paid twice a month and I’m sure I’m not the only one. This ain’t the first time this has happened to me so if this has happened to anyone els speak up.
How is this ok, legal, or possible to happen to my family that has no where to go with 3 kids who have to be split up from each other & they're parents & hold jobs, school, & football for 8th grader & 4th grader IEP student both expected to maintain those expectations. ANY ADVICE GUIDANCE OR SUPPORT would be greatly appreciated.
