The Richmond Police Department's K-9 unit consists of 3 K-9 teams. Each handler serves as either patrol officers or supervisors within the department. They are certified in detecting the odor of illegal narcotics, building searches, apprehension, handler protection, tracking, and area searches. Our K-9's are purchased through Vohne Liche Kennels in Denver, Indiana. Our handlers, along with their p

artners, attend a 6 week basic handler's course at VLK and certify annually. We are available for demonstrations and lectures to schools, organizations, religious groups, youth groups, etc. If you would like a demonstration please contact us at (765) 983-7247 or you may message us here.
