Backpack Goal REACHED! We’ve officially hit our 100 backpack goal—thank you from the bottom of my heart! 💛

EXTENSION ON THE AMAZON WISHLIST! The Amazon wishlist will remain open until TOMORROW, 8/1 to help fill those backpacks with supplies before our big Summer Fest distribution event on 8/2.

Anything that doesn’t arrive in time will still be donated directly to Richmond Public Schools, so nothing goes to waste.

If you’ve been meaning to give—now’s the time! Let’s send these students off with everything they need. As always- a SHARE goes a long way!

We need your help to make some noise for a good cause.

We’ve launched the Upward Roots 2025 Supply Drive to support students, teachers, and neighbors in need — and while we’re a small and heartfelt operation, we believe in the power of community.

But we also know this:

I’m Christine Beaton — Richmond native, mom, and founder of Upward Roots Initiative. I created this supply drive because I believe no teacher should have to spend their paycheck to stock a classroom. No child should walk into their first day of school without the basics. And no family should have to choose between gas, groceries, or glue sticks.
