Arredondo Elementary Arredondo Elementary opened in the Fall of 2015 in Lamar CISD! We are home of the jaguars and pride ourselves on developing the whole child.

We have high expectations for our students but teach them how to be amazing citizens of this world.

Join us in the Meeting Room at George Memorial Library in Richmond on Wednesday, June 3, from 3:00 - 4:00 pm for a fun and engaging slime-making session for students in grades 4-8! Participants will measure, mix and experiment with various materials and add-ins to create their very own slime. Materials for this program are provided by the Friends of the George Memorial Library.

Families with school-age children are invited to join us for the Craft Carnival at the library on Tuesday, June 2, at 2:00 and 3:00 pm! Participants will use their imagination and exercise their creative skills using glue sticks and crayons. There will be a variety of paper crafts to enjoy! Seating is limited. Free tickets will be available 30 minutes before the program. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the George Memorial Library.

With one year finished, the planning for the next begins. Let's talk....READING DAY 2026-2027!!! The theme has been selected...but a secret for a little bit longer!!! We need your help to make this one even bigger than our last!!! As you are out & about this summer, please consider picking up these items to help: POOL NOODLES (Biggest Need...we will need hundreds and they will be out of season in the fall); TISSUE POMPOMS (any color); and BALLOONS (any colors, all sizes). Thank you in advance for your continued support to make our Annual Reading Day the most unforgettable day of the year!!!
