75 California jurisdictions now hold HCD’s Prohousing Designation, making them eligible for the PIP program whose awards go to the jurisdictions tackling California’s decades-old housing crisis—in the form of additional funding for housing and community development activities.

Because CHDC is PRO AFFORDABLE in California California Department of Housing & Community Development and committed to erasing affordable housing and creating thriving communities, there are 2 projects that are located within CHDC's project footprint that are in these jurisdictions.
1. Friendship Senior Housing sits at 1904 Adeline Street in West Oakland and we'll have the grand opening on September 10th. Oakland African American Chamber of Commerce - OAACC City of Oakland - Local Government

2. St. Paul Terrace is a Berkeley project that we just broke ground on July 30th.

We're gearing up for the Friendship Senior Housing Grand Opening in Oakland. 50 new affordable homes for seniors in West Oakland and CHDC's first faith-based partnership. We're inviting other non-profit organizations and affordable housing advocates to join us for this historic event.
