For more than 180 years, Fort Bend County has been faithfully served by a long line of dedicated County Treasurers who safeguarded public funds and upheld the trust of our citizens. Beginning with Randall Jones in 1843, this office has been carried forward by individuals whose service spans generations, eras of growth, and moments of historic change. From early treasurers such as Joseph N. Massey, John Eli Dyer, William K. Davis, and Anton Wessendorf, through long-serving leaders like Minnie M. Brown and M. Elizabeth “Liz” Williams, to more recent stewards including Kathy Hynson, Clifford Terrell, and Jeff Council, each has contributed to the strong financial foundation of Fort Bend County. Today, that legacy continues with Bill Rickert, building upon the work of all who came before. We honor and recognize every past County Treasurer for their service, integrity, and commitment to the people of Fort Bend County.

It was an honor to attend the retirement celebration for John Oldham, who is retiring as Fort Bend County Election Administrator effective December 31, 2025, after more than 17 years of dedicated service.

Since 2008, John has played a critical role in modernizing Fort Bend County’s election systems and strengthening the integrity and professionalism of our elections. His steady leadership, attention to detail, and commitment to public trust have left a lasting impact on our county.

Joined by fellow county officials, we were proud to recognize John’s extensive career and thank him for his continued assistance during the transition as the County Election Commission selects his successor, Chase Wilson.

Best wishes to John in his well-earned retirement, and thank you for your service to Fort Bend County.
