🎉 It is almost that time of year, again! ☀️🚤🎣

🐟Catfish Tournament: 🐟Register at Horse Creek marina, and fish anytime between 12:01 Friday morning, May 1, and time for weigh-in. Cost is $20 per person entering the tournament. The only rule is to catch your fish with any legal means. Weigh-in is Saturday, May 2 at 9:00 a.m. at Horse Creek Marina. There will be a first place, second, and third place prize for the catfish that weigh the most, and there will also be a kids class. Bring in all of your catfish regardless of size because we will be using them for the fish fry!

🟥 Co****le Tournament 🟥 Beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 2 at Horse Creek Marina. Sign up at the marina store, and cost is $10/person.

🍽️ Fish Fry 🍽️ The fish fry will take place at Horse Creek Marina on Saturday, May 2 beginning at 5 p.m. Everyone is welcome to bring side dishes and desserts. Price is your donation of choice to East 52 Volunteer Fire Department. It is always a great time, so you don't want to miss it!

Please remember. You still need a burn permit!

🔥🌳 It is wildfire season in Tennessee, which means burn permits are required whenever you burn leaves or natural debris, including hurricane debris.

A few things to note:

🔥 Permits are FREE

🔥 Permits can be obtained online at burnsafetn.org

🔥 If you don't have internet access, you can get a permit Monday thru Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm local time, by calling 877-350-2876

🔥 Some local municipalities have additional burning restrictions and / or alternative burn permit programs, so always check local requirements before burning

🔥 Links to information about burning hurricane debris can be found at burnsafetn.org

🍔 Then you have the opportunity to purchase a Fair time only burger outside of the fair. They have permission to sell the famous one and only Lions Burger.

‼️📣 Go support our local fire departments. These fundraisers take a lot of work behind the scenes to put together and depend on the community and surrounding communities to show up and support. They alot of times help keep the lights on and fuel in the engines.

📍Livingston, TN and surrounding areas! It’s time to come together to help one of own.

🗓️Friday, June 19th we will be hosting a benefit flat track ATV, dirtbike and pitbike race for Dodd Scott and to show he will not battle this alone!

100% of proceeds will go to the Scott family. Donations accepted at sign ups as well all evening long.

🚨We will be running a limited old school class list, not a points race, just a laid back stress free evening of fun for a great cause!

🎟️Gates open at 5pm $15 admission, 3 yrs and under free

RVFD would like to offer a big thank you to West Overton Water District for replacing the broken water hydrant at the fire station. It is a big help to be able to refill the trucks at the station.

We’re proud to share that the Rickman Volunteer Fire Department has been awarded a Rescue Squad Grant, helping strengthen the lifesaving services our firefighters provide to our community and surrounding areas.

This grant will support the purchase of specialized rescue equipment used in emergencies such as vehicle extrications and other technical rescue situations, ensuring our team has the tools they need to respond quickly and effectively when it matters most.

Also, congratulations to the Overton County Emergency Services and Overton County Rescue Squad for being recipients of this grant as well, and thank you for your continued dedication to keeping our community safe! 👏🔥
