Operational Security (OPSEC) is everyone’s responsibility. What we share online can unintentionally provide critical information about our Sailors, their missions, and their locations.

Please avoid posting:
• Specific deployment or return dates
• Ship movements or port locations
• Future travel plans related to military duties
• Photos containing sensitive information (badges, screens, workspaces)

Even small details can add up. If you’re unsure whether something is appropriate to post, it’s always best to leave it out or reach out for guidance.

🚨 Weather PSA from the Ridgecrest Police Department 11/13/2025🚨

Ridgecrest, the rain is rolling in soon — and while we know you love your cars, please remember: they’re cars, NOT BOATS. If/when the water starts rising, the safest place to be is home, not out testing your sedan’s sea legs.

Also, a friendly reminder: ordering DoorDash, pizza or grocery delivery, still puts more cars on the road. So please plan ahead, stock up on groceries and snacks now, and help the delivery drivers stay safe too.

If you know of weak spots around your home, pay attention to those early. Stay aware, stay dry, and stay safe — and be sure to follow the Ridgecrest Police Department page for any updates or additional announcements as the weather approaches. 🌧️🚔
