The members of Ladder 1 would like to thank everyone that supported us for our 51st Annual Fish Fry held on April 3rd. Thank you to the residents and businesses that donated, sponsored, or supported us. Thank you to the parents, spouses, girlfriends, former members and other RPFD company members that helped work the event, especially Tara O’Grady for spending her entire birthday helping set up, work, and clean the firehouse. Shoutout to Thistle for always reserving Good Friday for us. Without all of you, we wouldn’t have been able to have another successful year. We appreciate everyone’s support beyond belief.

Members of Hook & Ladder Co. No. 1 continue to remember the tragic events that took place 24 years ago that took many lives including one of our own. Lenny made the ultimate sacrifice that fateful day to run into the towers when everyone else was running out. We continue to honor you Lenny, we will never forget.

Joe Mama. Great uncle to Captain Mark Alberque and brother to Chief Mike Alberque. Another Alberque staple that has done so much for our department and more for our community. Ladder 1 extends our condolences to the entire Alberque family. We got it from here Chief

It is with deep regret that the Ridgefield Park Fire Department announces the passing of Ex Chief Joseph Alberque.

Joe was a member of Engine Co. #1, where he held numerous ranks and positions within the company, ultimately culminating as the Chief of Department.

Visitation will be held on Thursday February 6, 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Vorhees Ingwersen Funeral Home, with a Fire Department service at 7:00 PM.

Please keep the Alberque family in your thoughts and prayers during this time. Rest in Peace Chief.

UPDATE: REUNITED. Owner picked up the dog at the police station.

Anybody recognize this dog? A member of Ladder 1 found this puppy on overpeck ave. The dog is currently being brought to the police station.
