To our valued Junebug customers,
With the deepest gratitude for our beloved community, I’m announcing the closure of Junebug Play & Learning Space in Ridgefield. Our final day of business will be Wednesday, October 29, 2025.
When I set out to start Junebug in 2023, I went into it knowing that it would require significant sacrifices in terms of time, energy, and money, but it would all be worth it to create a warm, supportive, community-driven space for families. All of this turned out to be true. It was so SO worth it.
But it’s also true that when you pour yourself too freely into everything and everyone else, you might end up scraping the bottom and realizing there’s nothing left to sustain yourself.
And that’s it, really. Nothing dramatic. Just good, ol’ fashion burnout and a desperate, urgent need to focus on my health and well-being. I hope this can serve as a reminder that we can and should care for others, but we must find ways to do so while also honoring our own needs.
With all of this said, this isn’t a final goodbye: a new Junebug location may still pop up in other parts of Washington, though we can’t say where just yet! It will obviously be under new management, LOL.
We’re also planning a last hurrah in October (not every ending has to be sad!), as well as a liquidation sale of furniture and equipment in November. More details to come soon.
As we wind down operations, our new hours for October will be:
Monday: CLOSED
Tuesday-Friday: 8am-12pm
Saturday-Sunday: 8am-5pm
Despite a shorter run than I originally anticipated, I’m endlessly proud of the little joys and milestones we experienced alongside our customers.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for choosing to make memories with us. Your unwavering support has bolstered us through many ups and downs, and I am forever grateful.
