We would like to thank all 2,113 voters who came out to participate in the referendum. Your engagement and commitment to the community are greatly appreciated.

We would also like to congratulate Alex, along with many of his classmates, for casting their votes for the very first time. It is always encouraging to see young voters becoming involved in the democratic process.

The new voting machines performed flawlessly throughout the day. The State is still evaluating the optimal size of the ovals used for ballot marking, and we appreciate everyone’s patience during this transition. You should all be proud that there were very few unreadable marks, which helped keep the process running smoothly with only minimal delays.

Thank you, Ridgefield, for another successful election day.

We had a highly productive and well-attended ROVAC conference this week in Hartford, bringing together Registrars of Voters from across the state. The conference provided a valuable opportunity to collaborate, exchange best practices, and discuss key priorities in election administration. If you had stopped by our office this week, you would have been welcomed by this sign. Each fall and spring, we have the opportunity to visit RHS to help register seniors to vote. In addition to voter registration, we also spend time with each class discussing Connecticut elections and the importance of civic participation.
