We would like to extend a big thank you to everyone who came out and supported our Fish & Chips event! Your support truly means a lot to our company and our members.

We hope you all had a great time and enjoyed the food, atmosphere, and company as much as we did. Events like this wouldn’t be possible without the amazing support from our community.

Today marks 17 years since the unexpected passing of Battalion Chief Vic Fugnitti. Chief Fugnitti was an incredible asset to the Ridgefield Fire Department and was known for always putting others before himself.

He was an outstanding mentor, a loyal friend, a devoted family man, and a brother to everyone he met. His impact on our department and community will never be forgotten.

Rest in peace, Chief. Your legacy lives on.

🚨❄️ WINTER STORM SAFETY NOTICE ❄️🚨
A winter storm is expected to impact our area. Unnecessary travel is strongly discouraged as hazardous conditions are likely. Please stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary.

All Ridgefield firehouses will be fully staffed throughout the storm and ready to respond to emergencies.

We ask residents for your help:
If there is a fire hydrant near your home, please take a few minutes to clear snow and ice around it. A clear hydrant can make a life saving difference during an emergency.

Stay warm, stay safe, check on neighbors and pets, and continue to follow official updates.

🚨 WEATHER ALERT – WINTER STORM WARNING 🚨

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Bergen County from 4:00 PM Friday through 1:00 PM Saturday. Snow is expected to begin mid to late afternoon today and continue through Saturday morning, with 4–8 inches possible across the county. The heaviest snowfall is expected between 6:00 PM and midnight, with reduced visibility and hazardous travel conditions.

❄️ Temperatures will remain in the upper 20s
💨 Wind gusts up to 20 MPH
🥶 Wind chills between 15°F–20°F

🚒 All firehouses will be fully staffed throughout the duration of the storm to ensure a rapid and safe response to any emergencies.

Residents can help by:
• Clearing snow at least 3 feet around fire hydrants
• Making sure hydrants are visible from the street
• Being mindful of hydrant locations when snowblowing or plowing

Please limit unnecessary travel, use caution if you must be out, and check on neighbors who may need assistance.
