In our families and communities, we’re often there for everybody else—but it’s okay to make room for yourself, too.

It’s okay to say no.
It’s okay to rest.
It’s okay to step away when you need to.
And it’s okay to protect your mental health.

Setting boundaries doesn’t mean you don’t care. It means you matter, too.

You can care about others and still make room for yourself.

“I need time to rest.”
“I’m not available today.”
“Can we talk when I have more energy?”

Setting a boundary can feel uncomfortable, especially when you’re used to saying yes. Give yourself permission to communicate your needs with kindness—and extend that same understanding when others share theirs.

Save this reminder for the next time you feel stretched too thin.

Your to-do list needs a bedtime, too.

This Wellness Wednesday, make space to wind down. Put the scrolling on pause, settle into a relaxing routine, and give yourself time to rest.

For adults, aim for 7–9 hours of sleep. You deserve rest even when everything on your list isn’t finished.

💬 What helps you unwind at the end of the day—a book, quiet music, or a little screen-free time?

A vape-free school community starts with conversations that continue beyond the classroom.

Parents, caregivers, educators, and students all have a role. Ask young people what they’re hearing about va**ng, listen without judgment, and discuss your school’s expectations together. Make sure students know who they can turn to for support.

Across Bolivar and Sunflower counties, let’s keep the conversation open and the commitment shared.

Share this with a parent or educator to help start the conversation.

Healing can begin with one honest conversation. Sofia found the courage to seek support, prioritize her mental health, and begin her journey toward healing. Therapy isn’t weakness—it’s growth. You deserve support, peace, and the opportunity to thrive.
