Malphrus for Sheriff A 25 year, proven, educated officer, with a record of reduced crime & protecting citizens of Jasper. I was born and raised in Jasper County. Leaders such as Mr.

Living in Baytree Apartments as a child I have memories of great leaders. Gardner in our summer basketball league, and Coach Stokes in my time playing football at Jasper County High. However, my memories also include growing up with a single mom who struggled throughout her life with drug and alcohol addictions. As a result, I lost my mom to those addictions at the age of sixteen, but God had a bi

gger plan. At the age of ten, I left home and was placed into foster care. Christmas of 1989 I was placed in a foster home with Rodney and April Malphrus. I immediately noticed something different. They were the most loving people I had ever met. During the summer of 1990 I was placed with the Malphrus family on a permanent basis. I experienced something I had never experienced before, they gave me structure with love, we attended church regularly, and showed me a life with God. This new life led me to making one of the best decisions, giving my life to Christ. I was not only led to a new life in Christ, but a new life in the Malphrus family. At the age of 21, my career began as a Detention Officer followed by being hire in 1999 by the Ridgeland Police Department. This year I celebrate my 17th year in law enforcement. In those celebrations, I am proud to say, I have been able to do what I vowed since my mother’s death, remove drugs and their supporting funds off the streets. With drug enforcement my passion, I have made some of the largest drug related money seizures across the United States reaching approximately 7 million dollars, and over 1,000 pounds of narcotics. I have received national awards for many of my record breaking drug related seizures and was directly involved in starting the drug interdiction program. I have been able to train all over the United States as well as trained in combat with the latest trends in the criminal and drug arena. Throughout my law enforcement career I have had some of the best and most advanced training available, and I am currently finishing up my Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice field. I have served as sheriff in Jasper County 2017-2021, and saw crime statistics decrease dramatically! I am continuing my law enforcement career by currently serving as police chief of Cottageville Police Department. I plan to use my training on a local, state, and federal level to turn Jasper County around for the better. Please vote Chris Malphrus for Sheriff in the June 11th Primary.

Tonight, January 6th, starting at 5:30pm the Jasper County Council will hold their bi-weekly meeting. Stating this off will include the ceremonial Oath of Office for myself and others newly elected to county positions. Please join if you can!

‘I look forward to the official taking of office starting at 12:00am, January 7th. As I move forward with our team; I am reminded of Proverbs 29:18, “Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he." It is our mission to serve and protect the people and property of Jasper County, upholding the law with a vision to create citizen trust and strong community relationships with myself and the deputies at the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office. I look forward to serving you all!’

Election Day is tomorrow!

This is your reminder to vote for change in Jasper County! As stated in the primary, these numbers are astounding! Jasper County cannot afford a continued increase to the budget while the crime continues to increase with this administration.

Vote Chris Malphrus November 5th, proven proactive policing for a safer Jasper County!

`!! Criminal Activity on the Rise !!

While in office, it was Chris Malphrus's goal to increase patrol, increase deputy presence to include knowing their zones and community members, and to work alongside deputies leading in proactive policing. The numbers published on the SC SLED website are astounding and speak clear that Chris Malphrus was a sheriff who served and protected the citizens of Jasper County; a sheriff who led his team of deputies to do the same. These kinds of crimes are some of the scariest and we cannot turn a blind eye to them.

Jasper County, June 11th is your day to speak clear, vote Chris Malphrus for Sheriff! Chris's law enforcement career is full of statistics and stories such as this, proactive and positive police work, attacking the criminal element at it's core to create a safer environment for the citizens. Like and share -- for a safer Jasper County, vote Chris Malphrus June 11th!

Election Day is just two days away! And it’s apparent this reminder for the much needed change of Sheriff in Jasper County was a problem for someone. Sadly, this campaign has endured the loss of near 600 yard signs and about 5 large signs. But it doesn’t stop the push forward, we cannot turn blind eyes to the crime in Jasper. This clearly shows people think they can do what they want without consequence.
