The Ridgely Police Department would like to thank the Maryland State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division in helping us make our streets safer. RPD listened to the complaints of our citizens regarding speeding trucks in our area, and on February 7th, MSP set up units covering multiple areas in Ridgley with Truck Enforcements. There were 30 trucks stopped, 15 inspections conducted, 21 violations found and 4 trucks taken out of service with safety violations. The Ridgely Police Department will continue to work with the Maryland State Police to keep our streets safe.

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR CAROLINE COUNTY

Stay informed, friends! A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 4:00AM to 10:00PM, Friday, January 19, 2024.

We are expecting a total accumulations of 1 to 3 inches. Snowfall is predicted to begin around 4:00AM, Friday morning.

Expect slippery road conditions, impacting both morning and evening commutes. Temperatures will rapidly drop into the teens late Friday night, making untreated roads icy and dangerous.
