📌Important Town Trash Update📌

Starting in June, there will be a change to our town's trash collection.

Rapid Removal will be taking over our local trash services on an emergency basis. This arrangement will remain in place while the official bidding process is completed.

📍Collection Day: Trash will continue to be picked up on Thursdays

⏰Pickup Time: Rapid highly recommends having your trash out by 5 AM to ensure it doesn't get missed.

We will keep everyone updated on any changes following the completion of the bidding process.

A huge thank you to Ridgeway Solid Waste for their service to the community over the years. We appreciate all of your hard work!

🛝Notice Regarding the Park 🛝

Until further notice, the park bathroom will remain locked. However, it can be unlocked upon request by contacting the City Hall or the City Operator for after hours or weekends.

This decision comes after significant negligence, vandalism, and destruction of the bathroom facilities over the course of the weekend. We truly want to continue offering public access to the restroom at all times, but unfortunately the repeated damage to city property is unacceptable.

It is with great disappointment that we must make this change. We appreciate the community's understanding and cooperation as we work to protect and maintain our public facilities for everyone.

We would also like to remind park visitors to please clean up after their pets. We love seeing community members and their dogs enjoying the park, but we have noticed an ongoing issue with pet waste being left behind. We encourage all pet owners to bring baggies and properly dispose of waste so we can continue providing a clean and safe environment for the children and families who utilize the park.

🇺🇸 Memorial Day Notice 🇺🇸

City Hall will be closed on Monday, May 25th, in observance of Memorial Day. Regular business hours will resume on Tuesday, May 26th.

As we honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country, I would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our local veterans and everyone else who took the time out of their morning to hang the flags throughout town. Your service to our country as well as your dedication and willingness to contribute to the community is deeply appreciated and does not go unnoticed.

Come play Bingo! The next Bingo Night will be Monday, June 1 at 6:30 pm in the Ridgeway Community Room.
Prizes for all ages! Three winners per game!
Free will donation for game cards and snacks. Donated snacks are greatly appreciated! The snack theme is "Patriotic".

There will be no Bingo in July due to the holiday.

An informational letter was mailed out today to all active customers in our billing system. This newsletter was created to help keep customers informed of new changes and important updates, especially regarding water shut off changes. Additional helpful information was also included!

Moving forward, I will try to post monthly newsletter updates here on Facebook following city meetings and any new changes so residents can stay informed about new changes, updates, and community information.

I previously stated that late fees would apply Monday morning, but someone thankfully pointed out that this month's bill lists the due date as the 11th. I did not realize this, as the due date should always be the 10th as stated on the back of the bill. This was a system error and should return to the 10th next month. 😄

Anyone who paid today and received a late fee will see that fee amount credited on their next bill.

I sincerely apologize for the confusion and thank you all for your understanding!!

Before the weekend, I wanted to take a moment recognize and celebrate the incredible teachers at our school who make a difference in the lives of our students every day. Your hard work does not go unnoticed! Thank you for investing your hearts into education, our community is truly fortunate to have such wonderful teachers and staff here in town! 🍎📚

I also want to take a moment to say thank you to all the mothers in our community ahead of Mother's Day.
