👑 Ms. Praline was invited to Tuesday story time at the Ridgway Public Library today. She enjoyed the children and all the attention!

🧩 She even showed off some of her skills by showing everyone how she can do a puzzle.

We also admired the beautiful landscaping at the library, and its newest addition of this floral kaleidoscope. 🤩

PHOTO: In 2023, the Elk County Courthouse was awarded a grant from the Harrison and Muriel Dauer Stackpole Fund held at the Elk County Community Foundation for an "Elk County Facility Dog". The project's primary purpose is to provide vulnerable children and their families with canine support during the interview and testimonial phases of the judicial process. The facility dog will also reduce anxiety and stress for children, their families, and other participants in court-related proceedings.

A SPECIAL GUEST at FSG (09-18-2024)- Today FSG students and staff welcomed Praline and Mrs. Susanne Straub Schneider. Miss Praline is the Elk County Courthouse Facility Dog. She was trained by Canine Companions to comfort and calm children or adults who are anxious or nervous about experiences. We believe that introducing our students to Miss Praline can help to counter some of the school safety situations that we have experienced over the past week, as well as the turbulence in society as a whole. We are grateful to Mrs. Schneider for sharing Praline with us today!

Yesterday we got to spend some time with Praline’s puppy raiser 💛Carolyn Odom.

As soon as Praline walked towards the house, she knew where she was! ☺️

This pup has made such a + impact on so many in just 2 1/2 short years!!!
She even had a gift waiting for her from an OH friend. 💝
