I just wanted to take a moment to extend my thanks to the various agencies who assisted us during the Borough’s Independence Day festivities. While their efforts are mostly behind the scenes, they give their time to ensure that safety remains the top priority.
Thank you to the Tinicum Township Fire Company Station 48, Milmont Fire Co. 49, Holmes Fire Company Station 43 and the Boeing Fire Department for joining us for our Borough parade. A special thanks to our Auxiliary members for keeping their tradition alive and distributing the red, white and blue balloons that created a sea of color for the parade.
Thank you to the Prospect Park Fire Company, Tinicum Township Fire Company Station 48 and Eddystone Fire Company No. 1 for helping provide fire protection during the fireworks. Without their support, this event would not be possible.
Thank you to Delaware County Emergency Services 911 for providing staff and their mobile command post. Their team provided logistical support and were prepared to coordinate any emergency response, if needed.
Thank you to the Fire Police from all over Delaware County who worked with the Ridley Park Police Department to ensure safe travel for all who visited while also making sure emergency vehicle traffic could respond without delay.
Lastly, I want to thank the officers and members of the Ridley Park Fire Company for doing whatever was needed to make the day a success. From washing trucks, participating in the parade, selling hot dogs and soda to standing in the heat and humidity in full firefighting gear, their dedication to the Borough of Ridley Park is unrivaled.
