Greetings from Rifle! I am sorry for the length of absence in posting as I get my feet under me learning so much in the first few months serving as a councillor for your City of Rifle. I look forward to bringing awareness to the great things happening in our home and how you can get involved.

Starting with this amazing announcement below; have you ever wondered what it would be like to spend $2.4 million dollars on community needs?! Excited to try out this new simulation and understand from our citizens what they want to see happen with the funds we will receive from the American Rescue Plan.

For those wondering how the election is coming along we may not know final results until the beginning of December! It is great to see our democratic election process at work and if you’ve ever raised the question “Does my 1 vote even matter?” … yes is the answer every time!

Patience and gratitude are the mantras of the month! Hope my fellow candidates are managing through the waiting game ok as well.

With Rifle City Council’s election race proving too close to call Nov. 2, the Garfield County Clerk’s Office expects an automatic recount later this month.

We hope everyone had a great Halloween weekend! We were able to get around town and participate in so many fun events. Big shoutout to the Rifle Police Department for their great initiative of handing out giant glow sticks to help light the way for trickers and treaters and so drivers could spot them easily! 🎃

Does anyone else think the power went out today on purpose so we didn’t have to end up seeing the Broncos game?? 😩😳

For future outages check out this site for updates. It’s also a good time to check on your neighbors; we don’t realize how many every day items we rely on electricity for - health, food, finding our way.

Really enjoyed the Business After Hours on 3rd Street this evening hosted by Your Western Garfield County Chamber of Commerce;
Thank you to all who took the time to speak with me and say hello and for all the businesses who helped put on a fun event. As you can see here I was very excited to grab some baked goods from Cafe Kapi Panaderia!

Who wants to see more of these events in downtown Rifle?!
