Wacker Chemical Corp. and Anderson Development are partnering again for their annual Household Hazardous Waste Day on Saturday, May 9. It's an opportunity for Lenawee County residents to safely dispose of things like batteries, lighter fluid, fuels and oils, paint, and more. (Note: Tires are not accepted, but the Lenawee County Solid Waste Department is hosting a tire disposal event the following weekend.)

The Riga Township Board is seeking candidates to fill two vacancies on the Planning Commission to be appointed by the Supervisor with Board approval. Candidates must be registered voters in Riga Township. Interested parties should mail a letter of interest or resume to P.O. Box 25, Riga MI 49276 or email [email protected] to be received no later than January 30, 2026. Questions may be directed to the Clerk Natalie Thompson or to the Supervisor Gary Kastel.
