🚨 TRAINING EXERCISE IN BLISSFIELD – AUGUST 19 🚨

If you see an increased presence of emergency responders, emergency vehicles and activity around the railroad in Blissfield on Wednesday, August 19, there is no need for alarm.

Lenawee County Emergency Management, Norfolk Southern and local emergency response agencies will be conducting a planned Hazardous Materials Training Exercise throughout the day and into the evening.

🚒 Expect increased emergency responder activity
🚂 Training will take place on and around rail equipment
🕛 Exercises are scheduled from noon–4 PM and 6–10 PM
🚗 Normal traffic is expected and should not be impeded
✅ This is a training exercise, not an actual emergency

These realistic exercises help our local responders practice coordination, strengthen their skills and prepare for the unique challenges of a rail-related emergency.

RENEWAL! Please understand this Millage request is a RENEWAL. NOT something new, NOT to fund the new fire station, NOT to fund future building additions/improvements. This allows us to operate on a daily basis, this pays the utilities, pays for new apparatus, supplies, tools and equipment. Your support by voting YES would be greatly appreciated.
THANK YOU. Please share.
from your Palmyra firefighters.

❄️ Important Event Update – Parade of Lights Cancelled ❄️

Due to the extremely cold weather, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the Parade of Lights scheduled for December 13 at 7:00 PM. We are very disappointed, as so many people have worked hard preparing for this special event. 💡❤️

A heartfelt thank you to our generous sponsor, Stitches & Stems 🌸, and to all of our participants, volunteers, and supporters for your time, creativity, and dedication. 🎉

Because of the weather, the Little Light Parade is also cancelled. 🌬️

We truly appreciate everyone’s understanding, and we look forward to seeing you all next year. ⭐ Stay warm and safe! 🧣🧤
