๐บ๐ธ **Happy 4th of July from the Riggins City Fire Department!** ๐บ๐ธ
We figured we'd skip the long fireworks safety speech this year.
You're all adults.
..Well, most of you.
Just remember:
* The burn ban isn't a suggestion.
* Dry grass and fireworks are not a good combination.(Remember arial fireworks are not allowed)
* "Hold my beer and watch this" has never ended with paperwork we enjoyed writing.
If your grand idea involves duct tape, gasoline, or your cousin saying, "I saw this on YouTube," maybe sleep on it until July 5th.
We'd really appreciate spending tomorrow evening watching fireworks instead of chasing one across the canyon because someone wanted to see if a Roman candle could "reach the river."
Help us out. Enjoy the holiday, keep a hose or bucket nearby, clean up your fireworks when you're done, and don't be the reason your neighbors end up on the evening news.
Freedom is great.
Wildfires are not.
Have a safe and happy Independence Day!
