The Rincon Police Department administrative offices will be closed on Monday, May 25, in observance of Memorial Day as we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

Officers will continue normal patrol operations, and emergency services will remain available. For emergencies, please call 911.

We wish everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day weekend.

Please be advised that resurfacing work on 9th Street from Highway 21 to Blandford Road is scheduled to take place beginning May 26 through June 9, weather permitting.
Motorists traveling in the area should expect possible traffic delays, temporary lane closures, and construction activity throughout the project.
Please plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and use caution while crews are working in the area.
Thank you for your patience as we continue making improvements to our roadways.

The Rincon Police Department is now offering C.R.A.S.E. Training (Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events) for citizens, businesses, schools, and organizations. This important training provides practical strategies to help individuals respond during active threat situations using the Avoid, Deny, Defend approach.

NEWS ALERT: The Effingham County Sheriff’s Office is proud to host R.A.D. (R**e Aggression Defense) Course for Women, a hands-on program designed to give you the confidence, awareness, and practical skills to protect yourself.

This is not a martial arts class. This course focuses on real-world situations and teaches simple, effective techniques that ANY woman can use.
