The Franklin Pierce Fire Company is located at University Station in Rindge, NH, at beautiful Franklin Pierce University. The Fire Company was started in 1972 by a group of maintenance workers who sought the need for a fire company on campus. It was later turned over to the students of Franklin Pierce University and has continued to grow ever since. Today the Fire Company works hand in hand with t
he Rindge Fire Department. Operating out of the University Station with a Town of Rindge engine, the Fire Company responds to all fire related emergencies on the Franklin Pierce Rindge Campus, as well as a myriad of emergencies within the Town of Rindge. Responding to approximately 100 calls per year, the student volunteers keep busy with a full class load, fire training, and a duty night. Many of our members take a Firefighter 1 course offered by the State of New Hampshire Fire Academy (Pro-Board FF1). These certified members will then begin to respond to emergencies on and off campus. The opportunity offered by the Franklin Pierce Fire Company is a unique experience that is hard to find anywhere else in the country. The skills, knowledge, and friendships gained through the Franklin Pierce Fire Company are life long. Our members will tell you that the best four years of their lives were spent with the Fire Company.
