***ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING THE ABATEMENT PROCESS***
Abatement applications submitted before the issuance of July tax bills remain under review. Please be advised that the Town maintains until July 1st to render decisions on abatement requests. Should you wish to proceed, you retain the right to appeal to the Board of Tax and Land Appeals (BTLA) or Superior Court at this juncture. Regardless of any appeal filed, the Town reserves the authority to grant or deny pending abatement applications. Any approved abatements resulting in adjusted property assessments will be applied and reflected in the December tax bill. We thank you for your continued patience as we complete this process.

The Rindge Police and FTC would like to remind our community that scammers want to gain your trust. That’s why they keep pretending to work for government agencies, including the Federal Trade Commission. They might use the names of real FTC employees, but the stories they tell are a bunch of lies.
Scammers have a long list of tall tales they tell. They might say you won a prize (you didn’t) and must pay to collect it (you don’t). Or that there’s a virus on your computer or an issue with one of your accounts (there isn’t).
The scammers’ stories change, but here’s what won’t.
• The FTC will never call you to demand money.
• The FTC will never threaten you with arrest.
• The FTC will never promise you a prize.

Please report any scams, if your a victim of any scams, or if you think you are currently involved in a scam to the Rindge PD
