Rindge Fire Department

Rindge Fire Department This is the official page of the Town of Rindge, New Hampshire Fire Department.

**THIS PAGE IS NOT MONITORED 24/7. PLEASE CALL 911 FOR ALL EMERGENCIES.**

The mission of the Rindge Fire Department is to protect the lives, property and environment of the Town of Rindge and surrounding communities when called upon. We are a paid combination full-time/on-call fire department that is led by Fire Chief Rick Donovan. The station is staffed during the business hours of 8:00AM-6:00PM Monday through Saturday. Outside of these hours, members respond from home

. We operate out of two fire stations to provide fire protection as well as non-transport Advanced Life Support Emergency Medical Services to the Town of Rindge. Our fleet of apparatus includes two Class "A" Engines used for primary fire suppression, one Tanker that carries 2100 gallons of water, one Rescue truck used for EMS response as well as vehicle extrication and technical rescue operations, one Brush truck used for battling brush fires and small outside fires and one Hose truck that carries 3200' of large diameter hose (LDH) for the purpose of moving large amounts of water from a fire hydrant, pond or stream, to the scene of a fire. In addition, we utilize two Command vehicles, a boat, an ATV and various emergency response trailers that hold equipment such as traffic control devices, Haz-Mat equipment and ice/water resuce equipment.

🖤🖤🖤💙❤️🖤🖤🖤

It is with heavy hearts and great sorrow that we announce the loss of our beloved friend Lawrence "Larry" T. Harris.

Larry passed away peacefully at his home yesterday morning.

He selflessly served the town of Rindge for nearly 7 decades, holding numerous roles within the Fire Department and the Police Department as well as contributing to nearly every other department in Town. He was easily the most recognized person in town. He will be most remembered for his 64-year position as the town's Animal Control Officer. Upon his retirement, he was bestowed with that honorary lifetime title.

Arrangements are pending - honoring a lifetime of service takes time to plan.

If you have a memory of Larry that you would like to share, please feel free to leave comments here and we will make sure that they are relayed to his family. I will personally always remember Larry's larger than life personality, super-human abilities, and constant presence during the 22 years that I had the honor of knowing him.

We will miss you, my dear friend. You have served our community well and we will forever hold you in our hearts. It is now time to rest, sir. We will carry on in the example of the life that you led.

Respectfully,
Chief Malynowski
