Below is the monthly tally for Police Department activity for May 2026.
We continue to navigate various challenges as the busier summer months approach. Our speed sign data collection program is temporarily halted as we proceed with obtaining a quote to repair the intentional damage that occurred last week.
Public Information/Update: We have been forced to take Unit #2, a 2017 Ford Explorer with nearly 110K miles, out of the patrol rotation due to numerous mechanical issues and safety concerns. It is currently undergoing an evaluation for the purpose of obtaining a repair quote and to determine if repairs are fiscally responsible and mechanically possible. Wednesday, June 3rd, we will be proposing the purchase of a replacement cruiser to the Board of Selectmen, by utilizing re-allocated funds within the current police department default budget. Please feel free to attend, in person or virtually, to view our presentation.
We have also been receiving several inquiries about E-Bikes/Electric Bicycles. We posted some information yesterday and are continuing to research the NH rules and regulations in hopes of releasing a more detailed document in the coming days.
As always, please feel free to call directly with any items of concern or with any questions you may have.
