Members responded into Station 24’s first due for a working fire yesterday afternoon. The structure was heavily involved on arrival & members spent several hours assisting in extinguishing the fire. E233 had multiple attack lines helping with fire attack & the tanker supplied the fire ground.

Caller Statement: RP ADV SOMETHING BURNING INSIDE Chief Complaint: Structure Fire [06/08/26 20:06:55 H1218]

Stations 23, 24, 34 & 36 were dispatched to the 1000 block of Sandy Creek Church Rd tonight for a reported structure fire. Private member from Kentuck arrived & advised of light smoke showing from a single story residence. E233 arrived confirming the size up & went to work locating the source. E233 crew located a small fire in the attic around a vent fan in a bathroom. A water can was utilized to extinguish the fire with overhaul operations being performed as well. All searches were negative. Station 23 responded with E233, E232, & Tr233 with 15 personnel.

As many of you know we were selling one of our ambulances back in the Spring, well we’re excited to announce it will be staying local & will be providing services at Virginia International Raceway. We’re thankful for a great relationship with VIR & are excited to see them utilize the truck.

06/04/2026- Single vehicle rollover with no injuries on Kentuck Rd. Rescue engine 231 & Transport 233 handled.

Just after the clock struck midnight the members were alerted for a vehicle fire below the firehouse. E233 arrived to a single passenger car with heavy fire from the engine compartment. Bumper line was deployed for quick extinguishment. No injuries.

Structure fire response this morning for the members. Fire was due to unattended cooking, which was out upon arrival of the crews. The call was held with Station 23 units as they checked for extension & ventilated the structure. Members responded with 12 working personnel, T237, E233, & Tr231.

KENTUCK RD;LOST IN THE WOODS WITH AN 18 YRO, 10 YRO AND 8 YRO, HURT ANKLE [05/17/26 19:25:26 H1218];SQ23

Last night at approximately 1930 hours, Squad 23 & Station 24 were dispatched to the area behind Dan River High School for an injured pediatric in a deeply wooded area. Units responded to the high school to group together to coordinate a search plan due to the caller not having a specific location. RTV23 was placed on the call & members attempted to make patient contact using it. When the trail ended 2 providers went on foot to locate the 911 caller. Patient contact was made locating a pediatric patient with a minor injury. The RTV was relocated to another location to meet the personnel at the awaiting transport. This incident utilized several resources such as both fire departments, county deputies, dispatchers, and administrative staff at the school. Ringgold with responded with 10 personnel, Brush 234, RTV23, & Advanced 233, with Kentuck assisting with personnel & E241.

Members took advantage of the nice weather over the weekend & got some pump operations training in.

Pictures of several motor vehicle accidents members have responded to lately. 1 crash involved a van into the rear of a tractor trailer entrapping the driver, bringing multiple agencies to the scene such as Blairs Fire & Rescue & Danville Life Saving Crew with the addition of AirCare to transport the patient to a trauma center due to injuries. Members have also been responding a multitude of other call types such as vehicle fires, brush fires, & many medical calls.

Inquire within or reach out to myself or any member. Call 434-822-6989. Were located just off route 58 East on Tom Fork Rd. Business/Membership meetings are held first Thursday of every month at 7:30pm
