Early voting begins next Monday for the Primary Runoff Election.
Ringgold voters will choose a City Councilperson, while all Catoosa County voters can choose their party's candidate for US Senate, Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Secretary of State, Commissioners of Insurance and Labor, State School Superintendent, and Public Service Commissioner. Party winners face off in the November General Election.

When Georgia redraws its district maps, the legislature has a seat at the table. The governor is in the room. The courts can step in, but only after the maps are already approved.

The public? No role required by law. None. Hearings may be held. Or not. There's no legal right to weigh in or object before the vote.

That's just how the process works. 🤷‍♀️

Did you know the Georgia legislature is exempt from the Open Records Act during redistricting? They can draw your district maps in secret and aren't required to show their work.

Last night, we officially secured the Democratic nomination for Georgia House District 3.

Thank you to every person who voted, donated, volunteered, shared a post, put up a sign, or encouraged this campaign along the way.

After 18 years without a Democratic challenger in this district, nearly 1,730 people showed up in this primary to say they want practical, accountable leadership focused on solving problems for Catoosa County.

We also saw something important last night: voters are paying attention, and many people across the political spectrum are ready for representation that listens first, works hard, and puts community ahead of partisan games.

This campaign is just getting started. The race is on.

If you want to help build something different here in Northwest Georgia, now is the time: volunteer, put up a yard sign, talk to your neighbors, share the campaign, or chip in if you’re able.
