We are aware of a working fire in the area of Rt. 31. Fire Department, Rescue Squad and NJSP are on scene working the fire. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family, our first responders and the safety of the animals on the property.

Good afternoon, East Amwell!

Happy to share another update on the capital improvements at our Municipal Building. The construction of the new steps and ramp is well underway!

These improvements will enhance both the appearance and safety of our Municipal Building while making the facility more accessible to everyone in our community.

As with many of our recent capital projects, a significant portion of this work is being funded through grants, helping reduce the financial burden on local taxpayers.

We’re excited to see this project continue to move forward and look forward to sharing more updates as the work progresses.

Good morning, East Amwell!

As we continue looking for ways to improve our township infrastructure and quality of life, we are also exploring new grant funding opportunities to make improvements to Clawson Park and our municipal fields.

As we develop potential projects, we want to hear from our residents and use your feedback to help establish priorities. Please feel free to leave a comment on this post or message me directly with your ideas and suggestions.

Some ideas that have already been suggested include:

• An additional pavilion
• Dedicated pickleball courts
• A practice wall for tennis
• A dog park area
• Repairing or replacing the lighting at the municipal fields to allow for greater use by our local sports teams
• Replacing the exercise stations along the walking trail
• Or simply leaving the park as it is — “things are perfect the way they are!”

We recognize that each of these ideas comes with its own opportunities and challenges. This is simply an informal survey to generate ideas, gauge community interest, and learn what residents would like to see. It is not a vote, commitment, or binding decision by the Township.

Your feedback will help us determine what projects may make the most sense for our community and what grant opportunities we should pursue.
