Ringtown Valley Fire & Rescue Co. Providing fire protection, prevention, and rescue services to the Ringtown Valley and surrounding communities. Total coverage approximates to 25 square miles.

Ringtown Valley Fire & Rescue Company was founded in 2007 by the merger of two local volunteer fire companies; Ringtown Chemical Fire Co. #1 and Union Township Fire Co. #1. Both originated from a group of community-minded individuals striving to serve and protect their home, a legacy we still uphold and a tradition we hold very close to our hearts today. The members of the RVFR are passionate abou

t their service and volunteer copious amounts of their time to their community. The training of the active firefighters of the RVFR is also outstanding, in 2013 members logged approximately 1000 hours of training. Our number one priority is the safety and well-being of our community in the beautiful Ringtown Valley. We are a fully volunteer company and house 6 apparatus in our Main Street, Ringtown station located in the center of our coverage area. The RVFR relies mainly on community donations and both state and federal grants to keep our doors open. We provide fire protection services to the entire Ringtown Valley area which includes the borough of Ringtown, and Union Township and also provide mutual aid to surrounding community fire departments. Dimensions of our coverage area are approximately from the Columbia County line just east of Aristes and run eastwardly towards Brandonville, and from the Union/West Mahonoy Township line south of Shenandoah southwardly towards Zion Grove.
