Have you heard of SAMI'S LAW in New Jersey?

Samiโ€™s Law strengthens rideshare safety by requiring enhanced driver identification, visible vehicle placards, and scannable QR codes to help passengers verify their ride before getting into a vehicle.

Before entering any rideshare vehicle, always:
โœ… Check the license plate
โœ… Verify the driverโ€™s name and photo in the app
โœ… Confirm the vehicleโ€™s make and model
โœ… Use QR code or in-app verification features when available
โœ… Ask, โ€œWho are you here to pick up?โ€ before entering

Stay alert. Stay safe. Always verify your ride before you get in.
Remember: Before you get in, ask, โ€œWhatโ€™s my name?โ€
