A small life in need. 🐾❤️
At approximately 6:30 PM on June 5, a concerned citizen brought an injured kitten to the Public Safety Building after it became trapped in the engine compartment of a vehicle, suffering burns and lacerations.
EMT S. Rodriguez and EMT L. Delgado immediately provided medical care and stabilized the kitten before it was transferred to Rio Grande City Animal Control for continued care.
We're proud of our team for showing compassion when it mattered most. Every life matters. 🚒🐱

🚒 Today, members of the Rio Grande City Fire Department had the opportunity to attend Career Day at John and Olive Hinojosa Elementary!
Our firefighters enjoyed spending time with the students, teaching them about fire safety, the equipment we use, and what it means to serve our community. The students got a hands-on experience exploring the fire truck, trying on gear, and even operating a fire hose!
Thank you to John and Olive Hinojosa Elementary for inviting us to be part of such a fun and educational day. We love inspiring the next generation and building strong community connections. 👨‍🚒👩‍🚒🔥
