This month, we’ll come together to promote attendance, kindness, cultural pride, mental health awareness, and support for our students and families. Dear Parents and Guardians,

Early College High School is excited to provide our students the opportunity to participate in two pep rallies at their home campus during the 2026–2027 school year: the first pep rally of the year and the Homecoming Pep Rally.

Please review the following dates and procedures carefully:

Rio Grande City High School Students
~ First Pep Rally: August 28, 2026
~ Homecoming Pep Rally: October 16, 2026
~Students MUST report to Early College High School (ECHS) at the regular time.
~Students will be transported by district bus to Rio Grande City High School at approximately 10:00 a.m. for the 10:40 a.m. Pep Rally.
~Students are NOT permitted to drive to Rio Grande City High School.
~Students are NOT permitted to be picked up from Rio Grande City High School.
~ Following the Pep Rally, students will be transported by district bus back to Early College High School.

Grulla High School Students
~ First Pep Rally: August 28, 2026
~ Homecoming Pep Rally: October 23, 2026
~ Students will be dropped off at Grulla High School and will remain under the supervision of ECHS staff until the Pep Rally concludes.
~ Students are NOT permitted to leave Grulla High School at any time.
~ Following the Pep Rally, students will be transported by district bus to Early College High School.

These procedures are in place to ensure the safety, supervision, and accountability of all ECHS students. Students who attend a pep rally are expected to follow all ECHS, home-campus, and district rules and expectations.

We appreciate your cooperation and support as we provide our students opportunities to participate in school spirit activities while maintaining a safe and orderly environment.

Our Senior Sunrise couldn't have been more beautiful. Watching the sun come up with the Class of 2027—laughing, sharing breakfast, and officially kicking off their final year together—was the perfect way to start the morning.

Meet the Teacher night was a huge success! The best part was getting to connect with all of our ECHS families!

Real student success doesn't just happen in the classroom—it takes a village. Teaming up with our families is what makes this community work, and seeing so many parents ready to jump in alongside us means everything.

Our SAVE Promise Club handed out popsicles to students and staff to kick off the new school year. A little treat to beat the heat, reconnect with old friends, and welcome our new students to the ECHS community.

The Class of 2027 kicked off an unforgettable final year with the traditional Senior Breakfast at Denny's! 🥞✨ Nothing beats starting the morning with great food, endless laughs, and celebrating the beginning of the end together. 🥓🎓
