FALL/WINTER BASEBALL & SOFTBALL IS HERE!

VOLUNTEER COACHES NEEDED!

It’s time to get back on the field!
Registration for our Fall/Winter Baseball & Softball season is here, and we’re ready for another great season of RGC youth sports!

Whether your athlete is returning or stepping onto the field for the first time, this season is all about learning, growing, competing, making memories, and having FUN!

Our programs continue to grow because of our amazing athletes, parents, coaches, volunteers, and community. We can’t wait to see everyone back at the ballpark!

PLEASE NOTE: The season is projected to begin September 14 provided each division has a minimum of 4 teams with full rosters. Help us make the season happen by registering early and spreading the word!

📦🥕 FOOD PANTRY DISTRIBUTION WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 19th 🥫🍞
Rio Grande City Crime Stoppers, alongside the South Texas Food Bank, will be hosting a food pantry distribution Wednesday, August 19th, beginning at 9:00 AM for individuals who previously registered.

📍 Drive-Thru Location:
Fort Ringgold – Rattler Den
1 S. Ringgold St.

Please remember to bring your registration information and follow all traffic directions upon arrival. Distribution will continue while supplies last.

Due to two separate incidents during our Adult Softball League, the City has made the difficult decision to cancel the remainder of the season.
The City provides recreational programs to bring our community together in a safe, family friendly environment. Children and families are present at these games, and inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated. We regret that the actions of a few have affected everyone who participated responsibly. We appreciate the players, families, and supporters who demonstrated respect and good sportsmanship throughout the season. The safety of our community must always come first.

Congratulations to our Back to School Coed Softball Tournament Champions SAO CONSTRUCTION LLC!

What an incredible day of softball, competition, and community! This tournament was more than just playing for a championship it was about coming together to make a difference.

Thanks to every team, player, family, and supporter who participated and donated school supplies, we’ll be able to help local students head back to school with the tools they need for a successful year. Your generosity and support truly made this event special.

A huge congratulations once again to SAO CONSTRUCTION LLC on an outstanding tournament and a well-earned championship!

Thank you to everyone who helped make this event such a great success. We can’t wait to see you all at the next tournament!

What an incredible experience watching our Rio Grande City athletes compete at the TAAF Summer Track & Field State Meet! Every athlete who stepped onto the track and into the field represented our community with determination, sportsmanship, and heart.

No matter the outcome, qualifying for the state meet is an accomplishment to be proud of. These athletes have dedicated countless hours to training, overcoming challenges, and pushing themselves to be their very best and it showed all weekend long.

To our athletes: thank you for representing Rio Grande City Parks & Recreation with pride. You have made your families, coaches, teammates, and our entire community proud.

A huge thank you to our coaches, parents, and supporters for your endless encouragement and commitment. Your dedication plays a tremendous role in the success of these young athletes.

Congratulations to all of our state qualifiers! Your hard work, perseverance, and passion continue to inspire the next generation of RGC athletes. The future is bright!

Congratulations to Skyler Martin on setting a new personal record today at the TAAF Summer Track & Field State Meet!

Skyler represented Rio Grande City with pride, determination, and heart, and we couldn’t be more proud! Seeing our local athletes compete and excel on the state stage is truly inspiring.
