The Rio Grande City EDC is proud to welcome Mr. Roland Zamora to the Board of Directors.

Mr. Zamora was born in Corpus Christi, Texas. His family moved to Mission, Texas where he attended school and graduated from Mission High School in 1986.

Soon there after, he started his carrier in the automotive industry as a technician, before joining the Payne Auto Group where he worked his way up to management level. In 2018 he and his family moved to Rio Grande City, where he decided to build his home and call Rio Grande City his home town.

He has proudly participated in many community events here. "It is great to give back to our community and I am honored to have been invited to be a part of EDC where I am looking forward in helping in the growth of Rio Grande City" said Mr. Zamora.

On Friday, September 4th the City of Rio Grande City, the RGC Economic Development Corporation and the Rio Grande City Greater Chamber of Commerce celebrated the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for La Ganadera Gourmet Meat Market in Rio Grande City, Texas.

The celebration was the culmination of the efforts by City of RGC officials and the Rio Grande City EDC to help facilitate efforts to bring this location of the already well established chain of gourmet meat markets from the mid valley to Rio Grande City.

On behalf of the Rio Grande City Commission, administration and staff, we would like to once again thank the owners of La Ganadera Gourmet Meat Market for choosing Rio Grande City, and wish the much success !
