At last night’s City Commission meeting, Mayor Olivares was sworn in for another term alongside Commissioner Esteban Bocanegra (Place 2). The City also welcomed newly elected Esequiel Rios as Commissioner for Place 4.
The City of Rio Hondo took a moment to honor Ms. Olga Gallegos, who has faithfully served as Commissioner for Place 4 since 2020. The Mayor, Commissioners, and City staff extend their sincere gratitude to Ms. Gallegos for her years of dedicated service to the community.

The City of Rio Hondo, on behalf of our first responders, would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Rio Hondo Independent School District for donating fitness equipment.

Rio Hondo Police and Volunteer Firefighters now have 24hr access to a functional fitness center.

The much needed equipment will serve to enhance response, health, and fitness.
