🏆 FARGO NATIONAL CHAMPION! 🏆

Huge congratulations to V. Sue Cleveland High School alum Eloise Woolsey for winning the 155-pound Junior Girls bracket at the 2026 USA Wrestling Junior Nationals in Fargo, ND! Eloise defeated a stacked field of 128 girls in her weight class and was named Outstanding Wrestler of the Junior Division, which saw a record 1,269 competitors. She also made history as the first woman from New Mexico to win a Fargo title.

Eloise dedicated her win to teammate Elias Martinez, who is recovering from a life-changing spinal injury. “I did it for him,” she said. “I was going to win for Elias. And I did.”

We are so proud of your heart, hustle, and historic achievement, Eloise!

Today, both Rio Rancho Public Schools and CNM Central New Mexico Community College celebrated the grand opening of the brand-new Transportation Systems Technology Center at the RioTECH campus! This nearly year-long project is the result of a groundbreaking partnership between CNM and RRPS.

Students who participate in programs at the automotive center will receive hands-on training in automotive, electric vehicle, and light-duty diesel technology while in high school, and will have the opportunity to graduate with industry-recognized certificates and college credit.

Tune in next week for a more in-depth view of the grand opening and to see our students in action!

Congratulations to the V. Sue Cleveland High School Student Government for earning 1st Place in Roll Call at the first New Mexico Association of Student Councils (NMASC) Central Meeting of the year, held on Saturday at La Cueva High School!

Under the leadership of Activities Director Kathy Shallenberger, CHS students packed plenty of energy and Storm pride into their 30-second performance, which they did in front of student leadership groups from across the Albuquerque metro area, including APS, Los Lunas, and Valencia County.

The Rams also brough the heat, placing 3rd in the Roll Call competition.

Congratulations to the Storm for their 1st place victory, and thank you to both the Storm and the Rams for representing Rio Rancho Public Schools in a BIG way!

The Puesta del Sol Elementary Parent Teacher Association has officially been named a 2025–2027 National PTA School of Excellence!

This prestigious two-year designation recognizes the incredible work of the Puesta del Sol PTA, which spent the past year collaborating closely with staff, families, and the community to strengthen family-school partnerships through feedback, targeted action plans, and dedicated teamwork.

Puesta del Sol is one of only six schools in New Mexico to earn this national distinction and the only school in Rio Rancho!

We are incredibly proud of the Puesta del Sol PTA and the entire school community for their commitment to creating a welcoming, supportive environment where students and families can thrive.

Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition!
