Our first session of swimming lessons at the SCV35 Aquatic Center was a success!

Thank you to all the families and students who joined us. We loved seeing our swimmers build confidence, learn new skills, and have fun in the water. We can't wait to see everyone back for the rest of the summer! ☀️🏊‍♂️💙

A new speed limit sign is now in place on Camino Lito Galindo, helping promote safer travel for our students, families, staff, and community members.

Thank you to Santa Cruz County, AZ and the University of Arizona Cooperative Extension, Santa Cruz County for making this possible through a grant-funded initiative. We extend our appreciation to Shannon Hall, Lysette Sanchez, and Roxie Leyva for their partnership and dedication to improving safety in our community!

Reminder! 📢

The SCV35 Summer Meal Program is currently underway, providing FREE breakfast and lunch meals to all children 18 years old and under.

Families may access meals at Rio Rico High School during designated meal times and at various community locations through the Santa Cruising Food Truck route. Please review the attached flyers for meal service dates, times, and locations.

⚠️ Important:
• Students must be present to receive a meal.
• If a student is not present, identification verifying the child's age must be provided in order to receive a meal on their behalf.

Thank you for helping us ensure meals are distributed in accordance with program requirements.

🎒📚 Join us for the 17th Annual Back-to-School Blitz! 📚🎒

On Saturday, July 11, 2026, from 8:00–11:00 a.m. at Calabasas School, SCV35 enrolled students can receive a FREE backpack and FREE school supplies to help them start the school year ready for success.

⚠️ Students must be present to receive supplies.

Even during summer break, our educators continue investing in their craft and preparing for an incredible year of learning ahead.

This week, teachers from across SCV35 came together for our annual Teaching, Learning, and Assessing (TLA) Summer Event to collaborate, plan, and strengthen the experiences we will provide for students in the coming school year. Their dedication to continuous growth and commitment to student success is inspiring!

A special thank you to Coatimundi Middle School for graciously hosting the event and providing a welcoming space for collaboration.

We are grateful for the passion and teamwork that make SCV35 such a special place to learn and grow. We can’t wait to see the impact of this work in our classrooms this fall!
