Measure O is a ¾ cent sales tax that generates approximately $1,398,000 each year. It’s set to expire March 2027 unless extended by the voters. An extension is needed for the City to continue to provide critical services such as fire, police, and public works services. This is not a new tax. 92% of the funds support fire, 7% supports law enforcement, and 1% supports Public Works Department personnel. Most critically, the funds support two engine fire staffing levels with paramedic level services.

City staff will be providing informational presentations for the community. The same presentation will be presented on the following dates/times:

• September 10 at 4pm in the Rio Vista Room at Trilogy*
• September 17 at 6pm at 1776 Clayton Ln., Summit at Liberty*
• September 23 at 6pm in the Council Chambers at City Hall
*The Trilogy and Summit at Liberty presentations will only be open to residents of those respective communities.

An informational Measure O webpage is being developed. Please stay tuned for more information, including recaps of the presentations.
