The Rio Community Library will be rocking on Wednesday, June 24, 2026!

The fun begins at 9:30 AM with Storytime. Miss Hilary will kick off the day with 30 minutes of stories, crafts or activities, and snacks. It's sure to be a great start to an exciting day!

At 12:00 PM, we'll enjoy lunch. Hometown Pharmacy of Rio will be serving up chicken tenders and chips—yum!

Immediately following lunch, we'll welcome Ms. Kim's Amazing Animals. Will the chinchilla be back? You'll have to come and find out!

We look forward to seeing everyone on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at the Rio Community Library.

☀️ What a beautiful day for Lunch on the Lawn at the library!

A huge thank-you to the Rio PTO for the pancakes and sausage, and to the Brewer sisters for the wonderful desserts.

Next week, Hometown Pharmacy of Rio will be bringing even more delicious treats. We can't wait to see everyone there!

Thank You, Rio Area Community Club Members!

The Rio Community Library would like to extend our sincere thanks to the members of the Rio Area Community Club for your continued support of our Summer Reading Program.

Because of your generosity and the support of our community, we can offer a wide variety of fun, engaging, and educational activities for children and families throughout the summer. Your commitment helps make these opportunities possible and encourages a lifelong love of reading and learning.

Thank you to the Rio PTO for lunch this week and to the Brewer Sisters for the delicious desserts. They will both be here again tomorrow for lunch, and I've heard a rumor that pancakes might be on the menu!

Who is coming to have lunch with me?

We may have workers putting a roof on the building tomorrow, so please be careful. We are staying open and look forward to seeing everyone!

Maintenance Project Update

Item three on our maintenance project list will begin on June 18 or 19 as we receive a new roof for the Library.

Please use extra caution when entering the Library while the roofing crew is working. There may be equipment, materials, and workers in the area.

Thank you for your understanding and patience during this project. We are very happy and relieved to be getting a new steel roof and look forward to the improvements it will bring.

I think it might be rather noisy in here also.

Whales on Monday, Storytime on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m., and lunch at noon—what a wild week at the Rio Community Library!

We're not quite sure what Miss Hilary has planned for tomorrow, but we're certain everyone will have a great time. Lunch on Wednesday will be served at noon - rain or shine- so come prepared for a fun day.
