The members of southern Jackson county VFD would like to say congratulations to Shannon Durst, Shannon has passed and is now a NREMT. Shannon did not give up when he was frustrated and pushed himself and accomplished his goals/dream of becoming a emergency medical technician.

It has been a long and busy year for the men and women of the southern Jackson county VFD this year. Saturday night was our annual Christmas dinner, we had a fantastic time with our fire department family and our families out side the department. We had lots of laughs and great food. There is a lot of good things happening right now for the department and community alike, we will update everyone on what’s coming as soon as we can. Thank you to all our firefighters and community for making so much of what we do possible!
