The Housing Authority of the County of Jackson is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Staff Member to join our team for our Low-Income Public Housing (LIPH) property. This position is essential in ensuring our residential buildings' safety, functionality, and upkeep. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, performing routine maintenance and repairs, including plumbing, painting, electrical, and carpentry. Respond promptly to work orders and resident maintenance requests. Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with safety and HUD regulations. Maintain common areas in a clean and orderly condition. Assist with unit turnovers, including cleaning, painting, and minor renovations. Qualifications include an education equivalent to graduation from a standard high school. Experience in general maintenance, construction, or a related field. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Valid driver’s license preferred. We offer competitive compensation based on experience and skill.
