🚨 SEVERE WEATHER IS POSSIBLE TUESDAY AFTERNOON!!! 🚨

Tuesday has the potential to bring strong to severe thunderstorms to our area.

Current forecasts indicate the primary threat will be damaging straight-line winds, with the potential for large hail and isolated tornadoes.

If a Severe Thunderstorm Warning or Tornado Warning is issued for your area, take it seriously!!! Move indoors immediately, stay away from windows, and if a tornado warning is issued, seek shelter in the lowest level of a sturdy building in an interior room.

Stay weather aware, stay prepared, and stay safe!!!

An unseasonably strong wind field expected aloft lends confidence to impactful severe weather occurring Tuesday afternoon into Tuesday night. All severe hazards (wind, hail, tornado, flooding) are possible with this activity but the primary threats are expected to be damaging wind gusts and heavy rainfall. Monitor the latest forecast and ensure you have a way to receive warnings if they are issued.

Just a little update on Ember. 🐾

The vet says she is a healthy, strong, growing girl. She has been going to trainings and almost ready to officially be certified. Ember went to her first real search but they were found just as she arrived. Last night we did some side by side training and she did awesome. We are eager to continue working with her and continue learning in the search and rescue community.

This is why community support is so important. Our equipment costs are going up as well as the day to day living cost! Without the community donations departments would not survive. We appreciate everyone who continues to support us!

Tonight at training we practiced hand eye coordination with our tools and an egg. We like keeping our skills up while having a little fun.

Today, members from Spencer-Roane Volunteer Fire Department, Reedy Volunteer Fire Department, Clover Volunteer Fire Department, Southern Jackson Co Volunteer Fire, Ravenswood Volunteer Fire Department, Silverton Volunteer Fire Department participated in a live burn as part of Firefighter 1 training. Everyone did great
