💛💖💛 We love our Friends! 💛💖💛

🎉 October 18-24 is National Friends of the Library week, and we want to celebrate and thank the Friends of the Ripon Public Library for the positive impact they have on our community!

🎁 Did you know that all of our library programs like events, prizes, guest speakers, crafts, snacks, games, and more are funded by the volunteer work of the Friends of the Ripon Public Library? Our staff make the library run, and our Friends make the library fun!

🤔 How do they do it? The Friends hold a big Book Sale twice a year and maintain a year-round Gift Stop area with seasonal displays. All proceeds from these efforts go toward library programming!

⭐ Are you interested in supporting the Friends? It’s easy! You can become a Friend of the Library! An annual membership costs just $5, and it comes with perks like free access to the Early Bird night of the sale or a $3 discount off of a Book Sale purchase!

😎 As a member, participation is up to you! If you’re looking for more active participation, volunteer opportunities are available to help receive book donations, assist with displays, as well as assisting with the bi-annual Book Sale!

‼ Winnefox Library Catalog, Winnefox Mobile App, and Libby App Service Outage Alert!

➡ Next Tuesday, October 13, these services will be unavailable for a scheduled upgrade.

⚠️ Due to the outage, material will not be allowed to check out unless a physical library card is present at time of checkout.

✅ Libraries 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 be open, and you can still browse and check out items at your library’s service desk—just bring your library card! You will be able to read and listen to titles already downloaded to your Libby app.

❎ You 𝐰𝐨𝐧'𝐭 be able to place holds, pay fines, or access your account online or in the app. You probably won’t be able to download new titles, or place holds, in Libby and the Wisconsin Digital Library.

🌠 How does your library card help you reach for the stars?

📸 This is your invitation to share your story about how access to free educational resources, community spaces, and enriching events have broadened your horizons or brought a smile to your face!

🌎 Visit Ripon Public Library’s front desk to get your picture taken with a card so big it practically has its own gravitational pull! Take your own photos with your device to show off to your friends or ask staff to take a picture that we’ll share online! We’ll post as many pictures as we can to prove our library users are out of this world!

🌌 Why do we have one of the largest library cards at this end of the Milky Way? Because Library Card Sign-Up Month only happens once in a blue moon, and we want to celebrate everyone who uses the library! (Plus, it’s fun!)

🚀 It’s not rocket science—the sky’s the limit when you have your library card, and there's always space for you at the library!
