Today was the day! After 3 years of serving foster families in Fond du Lac, Green Lake, and Winnebago Counties, Re:Claimed Foster Closet closed our doors. Thank you to Lincoln's Foster Closet for taking our inventory.

If you haven’t followed Lincoln’s Foster Closet, be sure to do so. They are serving families in Outagamie County and the surrounding areas.

Sometimes it hard to let go, but by letting go you’re opening the door to new opportunities and experiences. ❤️

Thank you to every volunteer, donor, foster parent and friend that has supported this journey. Now on to the next!

P.S. I met little Lincoln, and he’s a doll!

After 3 years of serving families in the Fond Du Lac, Winnebago, and Green Lake Counties, Re:Claimed Foster Closet has decided to close our doors. We are excited to announce that Lincoln's Foster Closet, a new and upcoming nonprofit that serves Outagamie and Winnebago County foster families, will be taking all our inventory to serve their families mid-October.

While this wasn’t an easy decision, we want to thank all our volunteers, donors, and foster families for your time, energy, and support. We are grateful for you!

"Being a treatment foster parent and working in the human services field allows me a perspective that most people don’t see day to day. Tomorrow school starts in Ripon and around the state. A lot of teachers have not had face-to-face contact with children in nearly 6 months.

What does this tell me? It means that a number of children may not have had a safe place during the ‘COVID virtual schooling’. Now teachers will lay eyes on and hear things that are reportable, as mandated reporters. Which in turn means, we are about to see a potentially large influx of children coming into the foster care system. With an already over stretched system, where will these children go?

If you’re interested in stepping into the hard and helping serve children from around the state, DM me. Anu Family Services is an amazing agency with lots of support and a very dedicated staff."

College is not easy. You definitely need support not just financially but emotionally, mentally, instrumental, informational, and appraisal.

Use a worry board to decorate a foster care bedroom with something fun and functional for both the foster child and the foster parents.

I am black 365 days of the year, 7 days a week, and 24 hours of the day. I am black and I am proud!
Foster parents are you celebrating this day with the black children in your care? Do they know the Negro National Anthem? Do they know they come from greatness? Do they know their melanin is poppin'? Do they know.......
It is a problem if you celebrate the Fourth of Ju-lie and not Juneteenth if you have black children in your care and honestly in general.

At Anu Family Services, we are actively learning, listening, and reflecting on the racist events within our country. We are outraged and saddened by the unjust death of George Floyd and others.

People of Color are suffering across the nation, and Anu is committed to doing our part to relieve that suffering. We acknowledge the racial disparities that are central to the calls for significant social change, and we are answering that call for action by taking responsibility for the role we play in being that change.

We stand in solidarity with the loved ones of George Floyd and with all who have suffered from systemic and historical racism, inequality, and oppression.

Ripon family took placement of 2 boys who came with nothing. Looking for clothes size 14/16, and men’s size small (thin & tall). Athletic wear would be great! Also looking for swim trunks 🩳, beach towels, and 2 boys bikes 🚲 .
